32-Level Memory System from Schantz

Improvements to the Organ

In the fall of 2016 some major renovations and additions were made to the organ.
First, the motors on the expression shades of the Recit were replaced. A Tremulant was added to the Positif division, enabling the cornet decompose be affected by the tremulant. An unexpected bonus was that the Flute a Fuseau became a lovely solo stop with the addition of the tremulant. A Cloches (the French equivalent to a Zimbelstern) was installed. Preparations had been made for it at the time the organ was installed. Probably the most significant addition to the organ was the installation of a memory system by Schantz, increasing the organ’s single memory level to a total of 32 levels. These improvements were made possible through the generosity of Theodore Didden, who furnished the funds in memory of his wife Lynn Williams Didden, and funds from gifts from the wedding of Russell Koerwer and Stephen Schreiber.
